Windows XP media center Edition 2005 is causing issues while playing TV on the system


Windows XP media center Edition 2005 is causing issues while playing TV on the system. This  has been caused  because of the Latest update for WIN Media Center 2005.
Please run the following commands in command prompt to fix the issue


regsvr32.exe atl.dll
cd windows
cd eHome
ehSched /unregServer
 ehSched /service
 ehRecvr /unregServer
 ehRecvr /service
ehRec.exe /unregServer
 ehRec.exe /regserver
: ehmsas.exe /unregServer
 ehmsas.exe /regserver
Restart Media Center

The issue should get resolved. It might come up with component registration failure error as well. In that case

  1. Install the .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 by downloading the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Download Center Web site:
